Pitavastacor
Pitavastacor is in a group of drugs called HMG COA reductase inhibitors, or " statins ".
Pitavastacor reduces levels of "bad" cholesterol (low-density lipoprotein, or LDL ) and triglycerides in the blood , while increasing levels of "good" cholesterol (high-denisty lipoprotein, or HDL ).
Pitavastacor is used to treat high cholesterol in adults . Lowering your cholesterol may help prevent heart disease and hardening of the arteries,conditions that can lead to heart attack, stroke and vascular disease .
